Will the partisan spin never end?



On a TV ad, I'm being told that Barry Manilow has released a
CD of cover songs from
"the decade that he inspired, the 70s."

Manilow did NOT inspire the 70s. He didn't even inspire the pop songs of the 70s. Manilow, I knew the 70s. The 70s were a friend of mine. You sir, were not the 70s.

But hey, no hate. You always did think you wrote the songs that made the whole world sing. Good luck with all that. Maybe we should get back to filling the world with silly love songs. But why would you decide the world needs an acoustic version of Copacabana (At the Copa)? The campy big band sound was what made that song.

And for the record, we all know Mandy left you, for Frampton.
