Rose Garden Sideshow

Bush’s press ‘lectures’ are like sideshows. You watch, believing you can anticipate the direction the over-revved ride will spin. But an angry, stubborn, belligerent, driver behind the wheel doesn’t execute well. The danger quotient increases. Watch out: dude is out of control.

I used to believe Bush’s hand-picked audiences were due to a concern he’d come off looking dumb. Only the faithful would ask the easy questions, helping him keep in bounds and on message. Now I think they were more worried he’d completely loose his temper and we'd witness him running over someone. Like Helen Thomas.

Yeah, it's time to impound his ride.
