More Dylan

Jim also wants more installments to the Dylan saga. And he wants a different director to approach each decade. I can't imagine one director having enough stanima to do it all. But I've got one minor quibble, Jim: 10 years is too long an exposure. Dylan's molting cycle is... 5 years.

No Direction Home focused on the first 5, er, 5-plus ('61 to '66). Here's how I think the rest of the installments could go. The break points fit:

’67 ~ ’71 – Big Pink to Bangladesh

’72 ~ ’76 – Asylum to Rolling Thunder

’77 ~ ’81 – Born Again, Oy Vey!

’82 ~ '86 – Drugs & The Dead

’87 ~ '91 – The Never-Ending Tour

’92 ~ ’96 – Trying to Face the Quiet

’97 ~ ’01 – It Takes A Heart Attack To Get Back

’02 ~ ’06 – Masked & Unmasked

'07 ~ '11 - Roll Them Bones (get it? "7,11"? Laughing Sam's Dice. oh no, he's not dead yet. he's got a few more surprises in store for us)
