2012 - year of the final dragon
We have a Mayan calendar wall plaque, hanging in the backyard. Just one of those things gardeners suggest including, for 'a touch of whimsy.' It looks nice.
After looking at it long enough to be filled with whimsy, I began to wonder how to actually read it, as a calendar. I went googling, in search of online info. I came upon this - Survive2012.
Oh great. We make it through Y2K just fine. Now we've got Dec 21, 2012 to worry about. This plaque isn't so whimsical anymore! More like a signpost of the apocalypse.
Are those garden gnomes looking just a bit more sinister to you, Ethel?
