High water everywhere

Here are the Senate & House voting details on House Joint Resolution 114, authorizing the use of military force against iraq. I've got a few democratic 'elected representatives' who won't be seeing my support anymore. Sen Feinstein actually said her constituency was strongly opposed; yet she still voted for the resolution. She attempts to legitimize her support by saying she's privvy to 'classified info her constituents are not.' Well, Madam Senator, I find that statement extremely hard to parse - as many are wont to say these days. Do the other UN Security Council members also know these secrets? If so, why do they think a pre-emptive attack isn't warranted? And if they don't have this vital secret info, isn't that called acting unilaterally? Shame upon the Democratic Party "leadership."

Bob Dylan sang A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall to a Berkeley audience last night. I think it got the strongest response. But he also did Brown Sugar and Neil Young's Old Man, so he's as classically-rock-inscrutable as ever, I guess. That last 'I guess'...kinda Dylanesque, no?
