Friday miscellany
+ Playing the Steve Forbert Game...as in Velocity Girl is the Steve Forbert of indie rock. It's here. Do you have any "[blank] is the SF of [blank]?"

+ Got genre? How about an indiepop encyclopedia - Trunkful Of Trouble

+ Dylan show tonight. Which means I'll be missing The Black Heart Procession @ GAMH. Such a worthy band! I've seen them maybe 4 times - all keepers. Check out their new video for "Did You Wonder..."

...OK, did you listen? Reminds me of a more deliberate version of the old Fleetwood Mac tune, For Your Love (well, the chords are similar). Last year's Halloween show was superb. If you're in NYC for this all hallows, they're playing a fantastic date: Knitting Factory, with Blonde Redhead, enon & the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Key BHPer, Pall Jenkins, was also part of Isaac Brock's side project, Ugly Casanova. BHP's new release is called Amore del Tropico. A DVD is also planned for in the near future - a telling of the tropical murder mystery which is Amore del Tropico. Each song being a chapter within the film. Oh yeah....& Bob Dylan is playing tonight.
